Hi, I’m Daniel Hook (the Hook behind the Paw), business owner and Captain Canine at Hook & Paw Edinburgh!
We’re a family owned dog walking and pet care business located in West Edinburgh. We offer carefully crafted services for your canines, cats & small animals.
My own dog, Yoshi, is the inspiration behind Hook & Paw. Watching her tail wag as she tracks a new scent or letting her have her zoomies around a big open field is the best part of my day. The even better part is the sense of knowing my time is well spent as she snores loudly on the sofa next to me, dreaming of the day’s adventures.
So, when you choose our dog walking & pet services, we can ensure you that your dog will also be snoring soundly after it’s day out - that’s the Hook & Paw promise.
At Hook & Paw, our highest priority is ensuring that every member of our pack is comfortable, happy, and safe.
Our Meet & Greet consultation is the first step in ensuring that we meet the unique needs of each paw. At this appointment, we will get to know you and your pet, and assess how they will fit into the Hook & Paw pack.
Complimentary Meet & Greet & 30 Minute Walk!
Our complimentary Meet & Greet session gives us an opportunity to get to know your dog's unique personality, preferences, and any special requirements they may have. It’s also a chance for you to meet us, ask any questions, and feel confident in the care your dog will receive.
To ensure a paw-fect fit with our pack, our meet & greet process also includes a free 30 minute walk! This initial walk allows us to observe your dogs personality, and assess how they will fit in with the rest of the Hook & Paw pack.

Our dog walking and pet care services are available in the following areas of Edinburgh: Baberton, Barnton, Blackhall, Broomhouse, Carrick Knowe, Clermiston, Colinton, Corstorphine, Cramond, Davidson Mains, East Craigs, Gyle, Juniper Green, Ravelston, Saughton, Sighthill, Silverknowes.
Please note that we currently only offer weekend appointments.
